Frank Lloyd Wright was famous for his architecture. He was born at Richland center, Wisconsin in June 8th 1867. He died at Phoenix, Arizona, in April 9th, 1959 at the age of 91. His parents were William Cary Wright, and Anna Lloyd-Jones. When Frank was 12 years old his family moved to Madison, Wisconsin, where he attended Madison high school. On summers Frank would go onto his uncles farm, where he first realized his dream of becoming an architect. In 1885 Frank left Madison to work for Allan Conover, who was the dean of The university of Wisconsin's Engineering Department.He spent 2 semesters studying Civil engineering there, then he moved to Chicago in 1887. Where he started working as an Architect for Joseph Lyman Silsbee.
a year or two later Frank left to work for Louis Sullivan, who Wright acknowledges as his primary infleunce for architecture. In 1893 Wright ended his business with Silsbee, and started his own firm in Chicago, between the years 1887-1893 some of Franks accomplishments are.
Worked on his first building which was the Lloyd-Jones family chapel.
He changed Sullivan's Maxim "Form follows Function" to his own which is "Form and Function are one"
He also got married to Catherine Tobin, and raised five children in Oak Park, Illinois.
In 1909 Wright left his home in Oak Park and moved to Germany with Mamah Brothwick Cheney. When he returned he inherited his uncles farm, where he then constructed Taliesin. He lived there until 1914, when an insane servant murdered Cheney and six others, then set fire to the Taliesin. Afterwords Frank was devastated but got back on his feet and reconstructed the Taliesin. Over the next 20 years Franks

Where he then built the Taliesin west and spent the rest of his life there. Wright had a unique talent for architecture. An example is the Larkin Company Administration Building in Buffalo, New york, or the Imperial hotel in Tokyo. By the time Frank died he was internationally Known for his Buildings and his Styles, he created 1,141 designs, 532 of those designs were completed. His name had become a symbol of great design.
